Low-key London super-group Scotti Brains have built a formidable reputation for their rare and racous live shows, which take place almost exclusively at the legendary Brixton Windmill. Consisting of producer extraordinaire Dan Carey on guitar, Oli Bayston (Boxed In) on bass, Liam Hutton (Boxed In, Kate Tempest, Edwin Collins) on drums and Beth Buxton on screaming duties, this mighty quartet have just unleashed a monstrous new track called 'Sustained Threat'. The instantly recognisable set list highlight is a relentless combination of escalating guitars, powerful bass and driving Krautrock dream beats made all the weirder by Buxton's almost alien shrieks. Coming in at just under 5 minutes, 'Sustained Threat' doesn't let up for a second, constantly building in tension and intensity to the point of explosion. Keeping it in the family, the track was self-produced by Carey, mixed by his budding producer daughter Orla (aged 13) and will be released on Dan's very own boutique label Speedy Wunderground.
